Welcome!
Hi! I'm S.B. Rizk, an overtired mom of two boys who stays up far too late each night, writing down the things I daydream about all day long when I should be asleep. While I always aspired to become an author, in my younger years, it seemed like an unachievable goal, so I followed my other passion, cooking. After taking culinary in high school, I attended Le Cordon Bleu and have worked in the kitchens of a local rehabilitation center and elementary schools. My favorite genres to read are horror and fantasy. I love to write feel-good stories that make people smile, which usually take the form of fantasy with some kind of magical charm and chaos. I'm inspired by books and movies from my childhood and tend to lean toward classic fairytales while constructing new worlds. When I'm not reading, writing, or hanging out with my kids I enjoy drawing and painting. So far, I have been published in three anthologies, two of which are also available as standalone ebooks. I am currently working on my first full-length novel, based on the characters from one of my short stories, and I can't wait to share more about it in the coming months.

Once Upon a Storm
as featured in the cozy winter anthology, As the Snow Drifts.

Luna volunteers to host her family's annual Icicle Inn-Cursion, despite the potential issue of meddlesome books and creatures that live in her library. What happens when you put a family with secrets and pent-up resentment under one roof, call it a vacation, and mix in a bit of mischief caused by books who have personalities of their own?
"If you need a fictional world to escape into, pick this one!"
Bio
Sarah was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts. After taking culinary in high school she attended Le Cordon Bleu to continue her education. Following the birth of her first son, she was a stay at home mom until he was enrolled in school. Sarah then worked in the kitchen of a local elementary school, until the birth of her second son. She has always loved books and dreamed of writing and publishing her own book one day. Although she imagined it would be horror, she has surprisingly found great joy in indulging her imagination in the form of children's books.
